Screen Cloths
Multotec custom make a wide range of polyurethane screencloths. Each cloth is manufactured specifically for the customer's screen and specific requirements. There are a wide range of apertures available and our engineers are expert in designing a screening solution for any application.
The advantages of polyurethane screens are many.
Cut and tear resistant
Far superior to rubber and steel. It has excellent resistance to sliding and impact abrasion.
Tough but resilient
It absorbs the impact energy of large falling rocks - its resilience acts like a cushion to protect lined parts from breaking apart or being damaged on impact.
Low coefficient of friction
When compared to rubber - extremely slippery when wet.
Temperature range
Excellent from -40°C to +80°C.
High load bearing capabilities
Far superior to rubber, metals and other plastics in its ability to absorb energy, sound and vibration.
Chemical resistance
Generally resistant to a wide range of solvents, oils and chemicals.
Hydrolytic stability
Formulated to resist water absorption without losing its performance properties.
Noise abatement
Excellent to suppress sound.
Light weight
When compared to steel.
Screening performances
Comparable to steel wire meshes - reduced clogging, reduced blinding and excellent aggregate/ore cleaning.
Easy installation
Using standard cross tension fixing systems.
We are also able to supply punched rubber cross tensioned screen cloths where required.
Cross tensioned screen cloths a generally installed according to the screening machine construction. Wire rope within the cloths keep the cloths tensioned with elongation of 0.5-1%. We provide 5mm mild steel or 3mm stainless steel hooks for fastening with tension plates.
Other fastening methods include wedge fastening, screw fastening and plug fastening.
For a quick price, please supply
- Over hook width of existing cloth or width of screen deck (inside side plates)
- Length of existing cloths or overall length of screen deck
- Required aperture size or required particle pass size and incline of deck
(Thickness of screen is based on aperture size)
Additional information required to manufacture
- Stringer bar centres
