Through extensive testing and simulations, Multotec Process Equipment has proven that the scrolled evolute inlet design has a higher capacity when cyclones are being required for a given duty. The scrolled evolute inlet design substantially reduces vortex finder wear, reducing operating costs and maintaining cyclone efficiency.

Using state-of-the-art cyclone simulation programmes, Multotec has developed the renowned FC range of cyclones which operates at pressures that minimise wear whilst maintaining cyclone efficiency.
Each unit has a number of operating advantages designed to provide the required performance with rear to cutpoint, overflow size grading and operating pressure.
Vortex finders
A range of finders are available to optimise cyclone performance. In addition, extended vortex finders are also available for high efficiency applications.
Spigots
A wide range are available to controls underflow density and optimise cyclone performance. Spigots are available in either a special abrasion resistant polyurethane or ceramics.
Quick release coupling
A unique quick release spigot coupling with no nuts, bolts or screws is used to enable spigots to be quickly replaced.
Inlet coupling
For single cyclone operations, a unique inlet coupling with no nuts and bolts is available to hold the cyclone components together during operation. The inlet coupling has been tested up to 5 bar pressure.
Canister assembly
For multiple cyclone operations, canisters are available. The assemblies have been designed to ensure optimum cyclone operation and are extremely compact.
