Technical Data

Seamless wedgewire cylinders are available in diameters up to 1750mm and lengths of up to 4000mm. The minimum diameter of seamless cylinders is 550mm.

Fast manufacture of the seamless wedgewire cylinders facilitates quick delivery times.

Wedgewire cylinders

Wedgewire cylinders are manufactured for all types of mechanically and air swept cylindrical interstage screens. Standard diameter cylinders are seamless. Cylinders are flanged together in two or three sections if preferential wear occurs at different levels in the tank.

Cylinders are custom-made for specific applications taking the aperture size and wedgewire profile as well as diameter, height and flange details into account.

Apertures and Materials of Construction

The aperture size of the screen is dictated by the carbon or resin size range. All standard aperture sizes are available and the cylindrical welding machine can manufacture any intermediate aperture size.

Advanced measurement and control instrumentation allows close tolerances on apertures to be achieved.

Cylinders can be fabricated using different profiles. The specially developed CIP profile is designed for the gold mining industry. The CIP profile has a high release angle to reduce blinding and an improved open area to increase throughput. The 28 sb profile, also used in the gold mining industry, can provide even longer life.

304 Stainless steel is used for applications subject to corrosion, while 430 stainless steel is used in areas that require abrasion resistance properties only.

Kambalda screens

Kambalda type interstage screen panels are supplied ready for installation in all sizes required.

The segments are custom-made and suit the installation.

Kambalda screens are suitable for plants treating up to 350m3/hr and with thank diameters of us to 4.2m. This interstage screening system is easy to retro-fit to a CUP/CIL tank equipped with an existing agitator. The Kambalda panels use the CIP profile, either in 304 or 430 stainless steel and are supplied with sealing rubber. No air is required to clean the screening surface during operation.

Complete systems comprising a support frame, Kambalda panels, overflow launder and wiper blades are available.

Bonanza Screens

Bonanza screens are suitable for low capital or low tonnage operations, of up to 40,000 tons per month or 50m3/hr. These long life, low maintenance units are custom designed to suit flow rates and cutpoints. Multiple units can be fitted in a single tank to achieve the required flow rate.
